Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Smart Plan is a nationwide home emergency provider, with over 15,000 customers that have put their trust into us to keep their house a home.
We work with a national network of thousands of Gas Safe registered engineers across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
We specialise in customized plans that ensure that customers are not paying for parts of plans that they do not use. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all, you should get to choose what you do and don't want!
We aim to get an engineer out to you within two working days of you telling us about your breakdown or issue. Cover-plan call-outs are booked Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00.
With Smart Plan, you only pay for the parts of the plan that you want to add. We specialise in fully customised plans that put you in the driving seat.
Every area of the home you choose to cover adds to your monthly price, so you decide how big or small your plan is. Build your plan above and you will see the full monthly price before you commit to anything.
Yes. You are billed monthly, and you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the start of your plan, which ends if a service is carried out in those 14 days.
After that, a 12-month agreement period begins the first time you use the plan. If you leave part-way through that period, you settle the rest: either the remaining monthly payments, or 75% of the outstanding balance as a one-off. (Subject to terms & conditions)
As per our terms & conditions, there are no price increases. Your price will remain the same year in, year out.
Naturally, there are many inclusions and many exclusions, due to the complex nature of each coverage area in your home. To see a full list of inclusions and exclusions, please visit our terms & conditions.
